Cheryl Hines
Cheryl Ruth Hines was born on September 21, 1965, in Miami Beach, Florida, to Rosemary (Graham) and James Hines She was raised in Tallahassee, Florida. She attended West Virginia University as well as Florida State University before graduating from University of Central Florida. It wasn't until she moved out of Los Angeles to the Groundlings Theater where she studied comedy that she felt truly like she understood the concept of humor. Lisa Kudrow was her first instructor. She also learned to write comedy and come up with sketches. The lessons learned helped make her ready for the character of Larry David's spouse on the HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000). Since the dialogue is improvised in comedy dramas it's a homecoming for her. It is still a regular at the Groundlings Theater when she has an opportunity.
