Tessa Thompson

Tessa Lynn Thompson is an American actress born on September 3rd, 1983 on the streets of Los Angeles. She is the daughter of singer-songwriter Marc Anthony Thompson and the daughter of the actor and musician Bobby Ramos. She was raised within Los Angeles before moving to Brooklyn, New York. Her mother is of Mexican and British Isles roots, while her father is Afro-Panamanian. Thompson attended Santa Monica High School where she took part in a variety of theatre productions. The years that followed her graduation, she went to Santa Monica College where she graduated with a degree in culture anthropology. At Pasadena's Boston Court Theatre, she was Juliet in William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". The show was nominated for an NAACP Theatre Award in the same year.
